Puman’s Thailand tour has successfully concluded! After performing four live shows in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Puman has forged strong connections with Thai fans and this vibrant Southeast Asian country. The atmosphere at the shows was electric, and everyone had an incredible time. The band members themselves also thoroughly enjoyed the experience, discovering a new kind of audience, the fun of communicating in an unknown language, and the passion of Thai musicians.

The tour kicked off on August 23rd at Decommune, a well-known venue in Bangkok. The energy in Decommune was palpable, with the audience swaying and singing along to Puman's infectious beats. Sharing the stage with Srirajah Rockers and Miraculous Thailand, the evening turned into a vibrant exchange of music, creating a diverse and inclusive atmosphere.

Photos by the Decommune photographer, thanks!!!

Moving north, Puman continued their journey in Chiang Mai, where they performed on August 24th at Deep Green and August 25th at CM Original. Chiang Mai, with its bohemian charm and strong arts community, welcomed the band with open arms. At Deep Green, a venue renowned for its laid-back vibe, Puman’s reggae tunes seemed perfectly at home, with a party vibe throughout.

Varied crowd from all over the world discovered Puman that night. This and above photo by the incredible M. Hu (thehu.cnx on instagram)

The following night at CM Original Live, a hotspot for independent music lovers, Puman once again captivated the crowd. This performance turned into a music fest as Pi Ba Prakong Rue Si, Croissant Band and ThephaRoots No.5 joined Puman, creating an atmosphere that felt at times like a jam session among friends rather than a concert. The mood was especially electric when both singers from Croissant Band and Thepharoots No.5 joined Puman on stage to sing together Thai artist's Job2Do's most famous track.

Thanks to the wonderful crowd that night. And also to M. Hu for once again amazing pics (thehu.cnx on ins!)

Their return to Bangkok on August 28th for a show at Studio Lam was another highlight. Known for its music programming and intimate setting, Studio Lam provided the perfect backdrop for Puman's dynamic set. The collaboration with Zound to Zion added a deeper cultural layer, resonating well with the audience. We saw some in the crowd who had been there on the first gig at Decommune, a sign that Puman's music struck a chord and made an impression.

Tommy came over to Studio Lam, thanks a lot for all the love!

Zound to Zion were very cool that night too!

Puman's Thailand tour was a success! Full of great vibes and cultural exchange, their dynamic performances and connections with local musicians made it a memorable adventure for everyone involved.

Beyond their performances, Puman also took some time to explore Bangkok and Chiang Mai as musical tourists, crashing jams at Blue Bar and Saxophone in Bangkok, as well as playing with Helicopter 2nd Hand in Chiang Mai, and even hanging out with M. Fah from the metal venue Immortal Bar. If people are interested maybe we'll share some of those photos later on the gram ;)
