Equally special were Tulegur, who combined otherworldly throat-singing and modal guitar playing with whimsical banter and a stage manner that recalled '60s psych-folkies The Incredible String Band.” - Nick Bollinger

Tulegur

Nomad Rock

One of the bands representing Mongolian culture abroad for many years, Tulegur are a tight formation combining traditional Mongolian singing such as humai (throat singing) with Rock foundations.  Tulegur are unique in the frontman’s story as a Mongolian child brought up without knowing his own language.  Only in adulthood was he able to reconnect with his roots and embrace the language of his forebears. He has since indefatigably represented them through the years with his shows defined by high energy and sincerity. They have played the biggest festivals in China and toured extensively internationally including festivals such as WOMAD 2016 and 2014 Helsinki Niubi Festival, cementing their status as a staple of the Mongolian Rock/Crosssover genre.
